Your coach
Meet KeyFu, your coach
KeyFu is a piano practice app for iPhone and iPad with one coach, named KeyFu too. He plans what you practice next and says why he changes it.
Your goal
Say what you want, in your own words
Pick a ready-made goal, add your own words, or both.
Your words can name what you’re working on, like a bassline you can’t play yet. He works out which skills it leans on, and you confirm.
Rings on your skill wheel mark those skills, and each day’s exercises lean their way. Changing the goal resets nothing you built.
Setting and changing your goals is free for everyone, forever.
After a session
What changed, and what’s next
Every session leaves a short recap in the coach thread: what moved, what dipped, and what to work on next.

His latest focus is pinned in the thread and shows on the Today’s practice card, so you see it before you start.
Another clean pass — the 4 to 5 move barely needs thought now.
KeyFu, in the app
When he finishes an exercise early, slows a part down or keeps a session short, he says so and names the reason.
What he knows
Answers from your own practice
goal · time · keyboard · key
Ask him about your practice, and he answers from what you actually played.
With each question he gets your recent conversation, your goal, your practice time, your keyboard’s size, the key you’re in, your measured skills and recaps of recent sessions.
He works from what the app recorded, not from watching you. If something was never measured, he is told so rather than guessing.
His replies are written by AI models from other companies, and they can be wrong. The app asks before anything is sent to them.
Plans
Ask for a plan, and he builds it
Describe what you want to work on, and he builds a routine from the exercise library, with his reasons.
It arrives marked BUILT BY COACH and waits in Your routines, ready to start. Tap Why to read his reasons one by one.
He can also suggest a goal, or a key to practice in. Nothing changes until you tap.
Join the beta
Each conversation with your coach costs real money to run, so invitations go out in small waves.
We send one confirmation email, then invitations in small waves. Without the tick we use your address only for the beta and the launch (privacy).
You need an iPhone or iPad and a keyboard that connects by USB or Bluetooth MIDI — most digital pianos do. What one session looks like.
